Film Debut for The Irish Linen Store
Have you ever wondered what the stars of stage and screen wear in bed? Well the Irish Linen Store helped the famous and the good make their mind up on IFTA night at the recent Irish Film and Television awards in Dublin.
Kenmare, Co Kerry, Ireland, (PRWEB) March 12, 2010 -- With all the razzmatazz you would expect of a film awards The Irish Film & Television Awards (IFTA) welcomed the cream of Ireland’s creative talent from the world of film and television as they gathered at Dublin’s Burlington Hotel on Saturday night (February 20th 2010) to acknowledge and celebrate the Irish industry’s achievements both at home and abroad.
Lee and Emer Parkinson, owners of the Irish Linen Store were delighted to be offered the opportunity to be a main gift sponsor to The Irish Film and Television Awards 2010. When you think it's all big business and only the major brands get involved as sponsors, these two entrepreneurs say "you just need the chance, and when you get it, grab it with both hands."
So what do you think all this talent walking the red carpet at IFTA 2010 including acting nominees: Jon Voight, Josh Hartnet, John Boorman, Alan Parker, Aidan Quinn, Donal McIntyre, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Colin Farrell, Michael Fassbender, Sue Patricola, Juliet Binoche, Saoirse Ronan, Elizabeth Quinn, Orla Brady, Victoria Smurfit, Alicja Bachleda, Nora Jane Noone, Peg Donagan, Elaine Cassidy received from a gift sponsor like The Irish Linen Store?
The Irish Linen Store Sales Director, Emer Parkinson says "being specialists in handmade goods was a priority, basically we could offer something more bespoke and different to a major brand". We were asked to supply our handmade linen and cotton pyjamas which were beautifully gift wrapped. Their sister company www.everyoneloveslilly.com provided their very own unique children's hand knits, handcrafted in Kenmare in Ireland and they were very well received by the stars on the night! The host of show Victoria Smurfit congratulated Emer Parkinson at the after dinner show and said quote "it was a beautiful gift and you are very talented and I am going on a skiing holiday with my family tomorrow and it is already packed!"
The Irish Linen Stores owners are certainly no strangers themselves to the show business world and met 14 years ago when Lee Parkinson was Musical Director on the hit West End Musical 'Blood Brothers' and Emer Parkinson was employed by the theatre selling merchandise for the stars. It is quite fitting that they have turned full circle and were thrilled to be involved once again with the stars at such a prestigious awards Ceremony in the Irish Calendar.
